Quran · Tajweed · Hifz · Arabic — live and one-on-one

Online Quran Classes in the USA and Canada for Kids and Adults

Live, one-on-one online Quran classes for children and adults across the USA and Canada, taught by Al-Azhar trained teachers, with lesson slots matched to your time zone. Students learn Noorani Qaida, Quran reading, Tajweed, Hifz and Arabic from home. Your first 2 sessions are free, and plans start at $16 a month.

Why North American families choose online Quran lessons

In many American and Canadian towns there is no qualified Quran teacher nearby, and the nearest mosque class may be a long drive away at a fixed hour. Online lessons remove the distance: your child learns with a certified teacher from the kitchen table, and you choose the day and time.

Homeschooling families can fit lessons anywhere in a flexible day, because classes run seven days a week. Our teachers know the needs of Muslim children growing up in the USA, UK and Europe, and keep lessons engaging and culturally sensitive.

What your child can learn

Every student gets a personalized plan that starts from their current level. Pick a path now, or begin with a free trial and we will recommend one.

Noorani Qaida and Quran reading

Start from the letters and build up to confident reading. Suitable for children from age 4 and for adults who have never read the Quran before.

Tajweed and recitation

Learn the rules of recitation and apply them right away on real ayat, with the teacher correcting pronunciation as your child reads.

Quran memorization (Hifz)

A structured Hifz plan with daily revision and progress tracking, paced to your child rather than to a fixed calendar.

Arabic for kids

Conversational Modern Standard and Quranic Arabic: learning to speak, read and write.

Islamic studies

Manners, the pillars of Islam, seerah and duas, taught at the right level for each age.

Classes for adults

Start from zero or get your Tajweed corrected properly. Lessons are private, so there is no group to keep up with.

Lesson times across US and Canadian time zones

Our teachers are based in Egypt and teach on Cairo time, so for North American families lessons fall in the early morning and daytime hours. Cairo is usually this far ahead:

Your time zoneCairo is ahead byExample
Eastern (New York, Toronto)7 hours9:00 am Eastern is 4:00 pm in Cairo
Central (Chicago, Houston, Winnipeg)8 hours9:00 am Central is 5:00 pm in Cairo
Mountain (Denver, Calgary)9 hours9:00 am Mountain is 6:00 pm in Cairo
Pacific (Los Angeles, Vancouver)10 hours9:00 am Pacific is 7:00 pm in Cairo

For a few weeks each spring and autumn, when daylight saving dates do not line up, the gap shifts by an hour.

Classes run seven days a week from morning to evening. Weekends, holidays and school-day mornings are the easiest slots, and weekday after-school hours are harder to arrange because of the time difference. Tell us your city and your family’s timetable and we will say honestly which teachers can cover it. Canada spans six time zones, from Newfoundland to British Columbia, and we quote every slot in your local time.
