Quran Classes for New Muslims: Start From Zero With Patient Teachers
Our Quran classes for new Muslims (reverts) are live, one-on-one online lessons that start from the very beginning: the Arabic letters, sounds and simple reading. You do not need any Arabic or previous Quran experience. A patient Al-Azhar trained teacher who is fluent in English guides you step by step, and you can try 2 free sessions first.
Starting Your Quran Journey Is Easier Than You Think
Many new Muslims want to read the Quran but feel unsure where to begin. The Arabic script, the sounds and the rules can look overwhelming at first. In private lessons, nobody rushes you and nobody compares you with others. Your teacher explains each step in English, listens to you read, and corrects you gently.
Your Learning Path, Step by Step
Step 1: Arabic Letters and Sounds
You begin with Noorani Qaida, where you learn the Arabic letters, how to pronounce them, and how they join to form words.
Step 2: Reading the Quran
Once the basics are clear, you move into reading Quranic text with your teacher, building fluency and confidence.
Step 3: Tajweed
You learn the rules of correct recitation so that you read the Quran properly. See our online Tajweed classes.
Step 4: Understanding and Daily Practice
To go further, you can add Arabic language classes to understand the language of the Quran, and Islamic studies to learn the pillars of Islam, manners, the seerah and daily duas.
